TNCitizen (tncitizen.in) is a civic complaint platform for Tamil Nadu, India. We enable citizens to file complaints about civic issues (roads, water, street lights, sanitation, etc.) and forward them anonymously to the relevant MLA offices.

• We do NOT share data with political parties or candidates.

6. Photos & Media

Photos you upload are used solely as evidence in the anonymised complaint forwarded to the MLA office. We do not use your photos for any other purpose, and they are not made publicly available.

7. WhatsApp Data

If you use our WhatsApp bot, we process only messages related to filing and tracking complaints. We do not read, store, or process any other conversations on your WhatsApp account.

8. Newsletter & Email

If you subscribe to our newsletter, your email is stored for sending platform updates. You can unsubscribe at any time by contacting us at help@tncitizen.in.

9. Cookies & Analytics

We use Google Analytics to collect anonymous usage data (pages visited, time on site, device type). This data is aggregated and cannot identify you personally. Google Analytics may place cookies on your browser. No personally identifiable information is sent to Google.

10. Data Storage & Security

13. Children's Privacy

TNCitizen is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us at help@tncitizen.in and we will delete it promptly.

15. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of India, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the IT (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

16. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
